Warranty & Projects Quality Engineer Position:
The Warranty & Projects Quality Engineer is responsible for proactive contract reviews, risk identification, quality planning, and handling warranty claims and investigations from start to finish. This role serves as a collaborative leader working cross-functionally with Project Management, Sales, Engineering, Testing, Field Service, and Quality to integrate lessons learned into new products, projects, and standard product lines, ultimately reducing risk, cost, and impact on customers. Warranty & Projects Quality Engineer :
Monitor the entire warranty process, including claim validation, investigation, root cause analysis, and cost tracking Identify warranty trends and systemic issues Implement containment and corrective actions, and ensure long-term effectiveness of corrective measures Lead evaluations of contract and project risks using warranty data Lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce warranty issues and enhance product quality Act as a technical liaison for customers and field service teams Develop dashboards to track warranty trends and project risks Travel may be required up to 40% Maintain awareness of warranty trends and risks Ensure field data informs business decisions Prevent recurring failures Establish connections between warranty, design, and execution Promote accountability across different functions Qualifications for the
Warranty & Projects Quality Engineer Role:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with three to seven years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience Certification in ASQ CQE or similar Solid understanding of mechanical systems, weldments, and fabrication Experience in failure analysis and root cause investigation Proficiency in quality tools such as 8D, A3, CAPA, PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, and Inspection Plans Strong leadership and communication skills across functions Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel
