Job Description

Job Title - Process Equipment and Reliability Engineer l Job Location - Cranbury NJ Overview We are seeking an experienced engineering leader who is energized by the challenge of elevating equipment performance in a dynamic biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role shapes the site's long-term reliability vision while providing hands-on technical leadership for critical process and utility systems. The ideal candidate brings strong problem-solving capabilities, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for building high-performing, future-ready operations. What You'll Do
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture centered on reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Define and execute the site's asset reliability strategy, ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and compliantly.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams—Manufacturing, Quality, MSAT, Facilities, Supply Chain—to strengthen equipment performance and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Drive long-term asset health through lifecycle planning, risk assessments, and data-driven improvement initiatives.
  • Champion the use of modern reliability tools, digital technologies, and predictive insights to optimize maintenance and minimize downtime.
  • Guide the development of preventive and predictive maintenance programs that support production needs and operational efficiency.
  • Lead investigations into equipment issues and implement sustainable corrective strategies.
  • Support new equipment introduction—from design review to commissioning and qualification—ensuring system readiness for GMP manufacturing.
  • Represent reliability engineering during audits, inspections, and cross-functional technical forums.
  • Contribute to engineering documentation, ensuring clarity, compliance, and alignment with regulatory expectations. What You'll Bring
  • A strong foundation in equipment reliability, maintenance strategy, or process engineering within a GMP-regulated or highly technical environment.
  • The ability to lead within a collaborative, fast-paced manufacturing organization.
  • Comfort navigating complex equipment challenges and driving practical, long-term solutions.
  • Experience with reliability methodologies and digital tools (e.g., predictive monitoring, CMMS platforms, asset analytics).
  • A forward-thinking approach that continuously seeks better ways to strengthen system performance, reduce risk, and enhance operational resilience.
