Job Description The Quality Engineer II independently drives manufacturing quality investigations, corrective actions, customer requirement implementation, process improvement, and quality system execution within a PCBA manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for moving assigned quality issues from identification through containment, root cause, corrective action, verification, and sustainment with limited supervision. Key Responsibilities Lead investigations related to internal defects, customer complaints, process failures, escapes, recurring issues, and audit findings. Own assigned NCRs, CARs, CAPAs, customer complaints, and manufacturing quality investigations. Drive containment, root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, effectiveness verification, and sustainment. Support manufacturing quality across SMT, through-hole, mechanical assembly, AOI, AXI, inspection, test, rework, repair, and shipping. Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Materials, Program Management, and Quality Control to resolve quality issues. Review, interpret, and implement customer requirements, specifications, deviations, labeling requirements, traceability requirements, and workmanship standards. Translate customer requirements into manufacturing controls, inspection criteria, training requirements, quality records, and documented instructions. Conduct process audits, internal audits, layered audits, and assigned compliance follow-up activities. Analyze quality trends and drive improvement actions related to FPY, DPPM, fallout, scrap, rework, and customer issues. Perform other duties as assigned in support of Quality department objectives, customer requirements, production support, and QMS/EMS compliance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field preferred. 3-5 years of Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing. Experience supporting root cause analysis, corrective action systems, and process improvement. Strong understanding of manufacturing process controls. Experience in electronics or PCBA manufacturing preferred.
