This role partners closely with engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations teams to review technical designs, validate system performance, and coordinate commissioning activities. The position offers hands-on exposure to large infrastructure projects, significant operational impact, and strong growth potential for individuals who are curious, detail-oriented, and motivated by technical challenges. Responsibilities Coordinate commissioning activities for large-scale, mission-critical facilities to ensure systems meet safety, quality, and schedule objectives. Partner with engineering, construction, commissioning, and operations teams to review technical designs and validate system performance. Review electrical and mechanical design documents, specifications, and test scripts to confirm alignment with project requirements and operational needs. Manage and track issues, risks, and commissioning outcomes using standard productivity tools, ensuring clear documentation and reporting to stakeholders. Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors to support project milestones and ensure integrated systems performance across electrical, mechanical, and control systems. Identify system gaps or integration issues in building controls, automation systems, or operational readiness validation and drive resolution. Contribute to design review, testing, and commissioning workflows to ensure that electrical power distribution, mechanical cooling systems, and building automation systems meet performance requirements. Communicate clearly in written and verbal form to document progress, escalate risks, and align stakeholders on decisions and next steps. Take independent ownership of assigned workstreams while providing regular coordination and updates to the broader project team. Essential Skills 5-6 years of total experience in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, project management, commissioning, or critical facilities operations. 5+ years managing technical projects with defined scope, schedule, and deliverables. Proficiency with standard productivity tools such as spreadsheets, documentation tools, and presentation software. Experience tracking issues, risks, and commissioning outcomes in complex projects, including data center or MEP engineering environments. Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills applied to technical and operational challenges. Ability to work independently while influencing and collaborating with cross-functional partners. Clear written and verbal communication skills suitable for technical and non-technical audiences. High school diploma with significant relevant experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of electrical power distribution systems used in complex facilities. Understanding of mechanical cooling systems and their integration into critical environments. Familiarity with building automation systems and their role in operational readiness. Experience with design review, testing, and commissioning workflows for large-scale infrastructure. Interest in learning from highly experienced engineers and expanding commissioning and program management expertise. Curiosity, attention to detail, and motivation to tackle complex technical challenges. Comfort working in data center or MEP engineering contexts is beneficial.
