Job Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for planning and executing commissioning activities for HVDC control, protection, instrumentation, and communication systems, with a strong focus on offshore converter platforms. Performs system integration, functional testing, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable operation under offshore conditions. Analyzes system behavior and interactions, supports FAT/SAT and site acceptance testing, and implements system optimizations such as control and protection settings. Prepares commissioning reports and ensures complete documentation and structured handover to customer personnel, including training. Coordinates closely with engineering, project management, and offshore operations teams, and may lead commissioning staff functionally on site. Requires 3-5 years of experience in complex power systems, with proven offshore experience required, strong analytical skills, and willingness for extended offshore assignments under strict HSE compliance and challenging operating conditions.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Electrical Engineering Background
  • At least 1-2 years of offshore experience (substation or oil rigs electrical systems)
  • TWIC or BOSIET certification
