Job Description

•Req Number•184879 FlexStaff is seeking a seasoned Quality Engineer with strong working knowledge of
AS9100, ISO 9001, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001
systems, to work for one of our clients, an electronics manufacturer, located in Melville, NY. This is a permanent, full-time job.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree Engineering. Graduate degree preferred. + Minimum 7+ years in aerospace quality engineering. + Strong knowledge of
AS9100, ISO 9001, IPC-A-610, J-STD-001.
+ Proficiency in quality tools (FMEA, SPC, PPAP, MSA). + ASQ CQE certification preferred; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt a plus. Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with AS9100 and
ISO 9001.
+ Perform supplier source inspections on final articles. + Conduct internal audits, produce detailed audit reports, and support customer and regulatory audits. + Develop inspection plans, control plans, and quality performance metrics. + Ensure electronic assemblies meet IPC-A-610 and
J-STD-001
requirements. + Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). + Partner with department leadership to resolve quality issues and optimize processes. + Prepare and maintain quality records, including AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) reports. + Drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies. + Apply Fishbone and 5-Whys to diagnose complex issues, identify root causes, and deploy effective corrective actions. + Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve quality objectives. •Additional Salary Detail The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
