Exempt The Quality Engineer plays a key role in driving operational excellence and ensuring the highest quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will inspire confidence in both employees and customers, demonstrate strong organizational and leadership skills, and collaborate effectively across departments to support continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, or equivalent technical field Skills & Experience Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Proven project management capabilities Ability to work collaboratively across engineering, manufacturing, sales, and service teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience with quality systems, corrective actions, and process improvement preferred Experience with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading Knowledge of
ISO 9001 / AS9100
quality systems is a plus Experience with ZEISS CMM and OGP systems is a plus Essential Responsibilities Maximize the effectiveness of the Quality function Develop quality and inspection plans and monitor manufacturing process performance Establish quality metrics and oversee inspection data collection, analysis, and reporting Lead initiatives focused on operational excellence, corrective action, and continuous improvement Maintain and control quality documentation Facilitate corrective and preventive action activities Identify cost reduction and process improvement opportunities Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to establish quality standards for raw materials, work-in-process, and finished products Coordinate resolution of technical and quality-related issues with internal teams Provide investigative support for customer complaints Conduct technical discussions with customers and suppliers regarding quality concerns Release inspection reports and related documentation ensuring compliance with customer requirements Prepare quality system manuals and procedures to meet regulatory standards Conduct and support internal and external audits as needed. Interpret engineering drawing, CAD models, and GD&T requirements.
