The Quality Engineer would report directly to the Quality Manager and be responsible for the following: Perform supplier quality functions Assist in maintenance of quality certification (IATF-16949). Perform process testing as required. Sand system testing and adjustments (on the job training will be provided). Data collection Manage plant calibration Complete Quality related measures Analyze internal & external scrap; identify areas for potential improvement, makes recommendations to reduce scrap Assist Quality Manager in PPAP functions Posting of Quality Alerts, and meetings with Production to review/train on subject matter. Undertake any reasonable request made by peers or supervision. Preferred Experience / Education / Training Requirements Associates or Bachelor degree preferred Foundry experience PPAP Document preparation 2 years experience in automotive quality role Calibration / Metrology knowledge Proficient in Microsoft Office Spectrometer operation, Maintaining quality certification. (IATF-16949) Blueprint/Drawing interpretation Initiative, reliability, and attention to detail a must Ability to manage priorities and workflow Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels Physical /
Mental Requirements:
Sit at a workstation for up to 50% of day. On shop floor up to 50% of day. Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Average unassisted lifting less than 10 lbs.
Work Environment:
Work time is spent both in a factory environment where temperatures fluctuate and noise levels are moderate to high, and an office environment. We offer competitive wages and a full benefit package.
