Job Description
Position Summary The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring products are designed, manufactured, and delivered in compliance with customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards. This role drives continuous improvement, supports manufacturing operations, and promotes a culture of safety, quality discipline, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Promote Growscape Safety Principles across the organization and help conduct BBS Safety Audits. Apply and maintain quality system requirements and standards for sustainability and continual improvement of the manufactured products. Monitor process capability and QMS performance. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Support and promote problem solving at the floor level. Create inspection control plans and test plans. Assist in identifying and eliminating risk Control Gage Calibration System ensuring gauges, fixtures, and measurement methods are correct. Support NPD, PFMEA, and FAI systems. Assist in CI efforts including Kaizen and defect/risk reduction. Analyze data & report on quality issues, trends, and losses. Help define specifications, standardized work, and inspection criteria. Drive standardization & quality discipline at the floor level. Interface with suppliers on quality standards and incoming quality. Help design and implement methods for process control and improvement. Participate in both internal and external quality audits. 2015 Quality Management Systems. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Demonstrated commitment to detail, accuracy, and compliance. Ability to promote a culture of continuous improvement and world-class quality. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Quality, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment. Experience with plastic injection molding, vacuum forming, blow molding, or co-extrusion preferred. Technical Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Minitab or JMP statistical software preferred. Physical & Travel Requirements Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally. Approximately 50% seated and 50% standing or walking. Up to 10% travel, including possible international travel. Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed. Work environments include office, manufacturing, laboratory, and travel settings.Similar remote jobs
