A successful manufacturer of custom mixed rubber compounds and molded rubber components for the automotive industry, located in Twinsburg, Ohio. This is an exciting career opportunity for a Quality Engineer. The ideal candidate will be an energetic individual who will be extremely hands-on in support of all areas of the manufacturing operations.
Required skills include:
Self-motivated Multiple problem solving methods Strong communication skills, verbal and written MS Office Experience with
ISO 9001 / IATF 16949
Experience in the automotive industry Preferred skills include: Experience with APQP and new product launches Experience with rubber mixing and rubber molding Minitab Engineering degree preferred Working knowledge of SPC, Process Capability, Metrology, Gage Control, GD&T, DOE, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Internal Auditing, PPAP, Process Flow, FMEA, Control Plan, 3x5 Why, Ishikawa diagrams.
Core responsibilities include:
Champion customer corrective actions Interacting with all persons related to corrective actions from the shop floor associates to the customer Participate in scrap reduction activities Including significant time reviewing mixing and molding processes on the shop floor Measure and improve process capability Coordinate supplier qualification process Continually improve SOPs Participate in APQP activities Participate in training activities Supervise Quality Audit Team Promote zero defect culture Be yourself at Datwyler We are convinced that people make the difference.
