Senior Equipment Specialist Leader Communications Inc - 2.4 Oklahoma City, OK Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Vendor relationship building Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Bachelor's degree in engineering Full Job Description Position Summary The Senior Equipment Specialist provides expert technical leadership for organizational machinery, tooling, and hardware systems. This role oversees complex equipment lifecycle management, including procurement, advanced troubleshooting, and strategic decommissioning. The specialist serves as the primary technical authority, ensuring maximal operational uptime, regulatory compliance, and safety standards across all facilities. Individual must be able to attain and maintain a valid US Government security clearance to be retained in the position. Duties & Responsibilities Perform technical oversight and maintenance Execute advanced diagnostic troubleshooting on complex electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and automated systems. Develop, optimize, and enforce comprehensive preventative and predictive maintenance schedules. Lead root-cause analysis investigations for critical or recurring equipment failures. Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with co-workers, and customers. Follow policies and procedures as described in corporate manuals and directives. Attend work each day during scheduled work hours unless on approved travel or time off. Perform occasional travel to contractor and customer sites, as required. Work flexible hours, including occasional overtime. Carry out other duties as may be assigned or requested. Submit monthly status reports and other information as requested Comply with requirements of the contract's Visitor Group Security Agreement (VGSA). Prepare CDRL inputs including the Task Order's Monthly Status Report. Complete required training and certifications. Provide Lifecycle and asset management Evaluate vendor proposals and author technical specifications for new machinery procurement. Coordinate the seamless installation, commissioning, and validation of high-value capital equipment. Manage asset inventory tracking, spare parts logistics, and component obsolescence planning. Perform occasional travel to contractor and customer sites, as required. Work is performed indoors with some potential risks to safety and health hazards related to electronics. Ensure all machinery adheres strictly to OSHA, EPA, and industry-specific regulatory standards. Author standard operating procedures (SOPs) and comprehensive technical documentation. Conduct routine safety audits and implement risk-mitigation modifications on production hardware. Mentor junior technicians and specialists to elevate overall team technical capabilities. Partner with engineering teams to design and implement equipment modifications for efficiency. Manage external vendor relationships, service contracts, and specialized repair contractors. Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job. Minimum of 10 years of experience Skill & Certification Requirements Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other standard (Customer specified) applications. Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver's license and proof of insurance. Position requires sitting, for long periods of time. (Sedentary Work) Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard and monitor.
