Job Description
Role:
The Quality Engineer will interface with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and IT personnel driving continuous improvements, SCARs, CARs, QAs, and APQP Core Tools.Responsibilities:
Create & maintain quality documentation and develop SOP/OPL's for the facility and products in conjunction with industry and customer standards. Lead team members in First Article Verifications (FAV), complete reports and notify other groups. Lead teams to assess quality problems and drive corrective actions to solutions with problem solving tools such as 8D, 5W, 5W2H, etc. Lead PPAP with support from quality technicians for inspections Ensure supplier conformance is monitored, and key suppliers have gone through proper approvals. Support supplier audits & qualifications as necessary Engage in R & R studies for both quality & production personnel Participate and assist in design control and strategic quality planning Develop Control Plans, Process Flows, and FMEAs Provide technical mentoring to quality technicians Attend MRB meetings daily and drive corrective actions through CARs, QAs, or JDIs Ensure ECO changes are implemented properly•Material Management & Verifying Systems Other duties as assignedQualifications and Education Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in an engineering or science discipline 3•6 Years of experience within quality Experience with Supplier Quality PPAP Processes & Supplier Management Experience in product development for change management purposes Experience with APQP Core Tools (Control Plan, FMEA, MSA, SPC) Proficient computer skills•MS Office Outlook, Excel, SAP Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills Ability to use good judgement and strong work ethics and integrity on the jobPreferred Qualifications:
Appliance industry experience Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certificationCertified Quality Engineer Leadership and Values:
