Job Description:
A specialty chemical manufacturing organization is seeking a Reliability Engineer to support equipment reliability, asset integrity, and continuous improvement initiatives within a complex industrial production environment. Key Responsibilities Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring equipment failures Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs across critical plant assets Analyze equipment performance, downtime trends, and maintenance data to identify reliability improvement opportunities Support reliability-focused capital projects, equipment upgrades, and lifecycle cost evaluations Provide technical support during outages, turnarounds, and major maintenance activities
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline 3+ years of experience in reliability, maintenance, or equipment engineering within chemical manufacturing, refining, or similar industrial environments Working knowledge of reliability methodologies such as RCA, RCM, FMEA, PM/PdM optimization, and asset management strategies Experience supporting rotating equipment, fixed equipment, utilities, and industrial process systems Familiarity with CMMS platforms and maintenance planning processes
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of PSM and mechanical integrity programs within regulated manufacturing environments preferred Experience with predictive maintenance technologies including vibration analysis, infrared thermography, or oil analysis Exposure to specialty chemicals, polymers, resins, latex, or related continuous/batch manufacturing processes
