Job Description

The Quality Engineer will assist the Director of Quality in monitoring, testing, and documenting daily production with respect to customer and industry requirements to ensure we meet and exceed our customers expectations for quality, customer service and on-time performance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Reviews customer purchase orders and specifications to ensure Eagle Metals has the capability to fulfill order requirements. Performs root cause analysis and implement corrective action responses for internal rejections and customer complaints. Present customer complaints to management team and interfaces with the customer on RCCA response. Support and lead continuous improvement projects to minimize nonconforming product and improve manufacturing processes. Reviews process routers for ability to manufacture product per customer requirements. Assist and support programs for PPAP, MSA, and IRR. Assist in the maintenance of the Quality Management System to the
IS9001/AS9100
standards. Participate in the internal and mill supplier/ vendor auditing programs. Perform hands-on testing in metallography and mechanical testing for incoming raw materials, in-process materials, and on the final product. Assist in training the production team to better understand the manufacturing process, customer requirements and methods to improve quality and increase efficiency.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor Degree (BS) in Engineering or Metallurgy/ Material Science 2 years minimum experience in Quality Role Strong Excel, Word, and internet navigation skills Strong analytical skills with ability to apply statistics is a plus. Self starter, creative thinker, and problem solver. Must be detail oriented, organized and flexible Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) Experience in cold rolling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals a strong plus.
