We can not sponsor Visas. The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining product and process integrity within an EMS facility that serves government-contracted aerospace, military, and defense customers. This role ensures that all SMT-assembled circuit boards meet stringent regulatory and customer standards, with a focus on compliance, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction. The Quality Engineer supports both product quality and the Quality Management System (QMS) across the production lifecycle. Responsibilities Review manufacturing and inspection processes to maintain consistent SMT PCB assembly quality. Interface with military/aerospace customers and government inspectors (e.g., DCMA) on quality issues and audits. Ensure proper use of
IPC-A-610/J-STD-001
standards and industry best practices. Analyze non-conforming material, initiate MRB actions, and support supplier quality resolution. Oversee quality documentation including inspection reports, FAI, PPAP, and traveler records. Lead internal quality audits and support external audits (AS9100, ISO, customer audits). Analyze manufacturing and process data, create action plans, and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM-related field. 2+ years of quality or manufacturing engineering experience in an EMS environment. U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required due to ITAR compliance. Familiarity with regulatory standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ITAR). Proficiency with Lean Six Sigma tools and quality/reliability engineering statistics. Preferred Qualifications Strong team player with the ability to drive problem-solving and risk management activities Experience in supplier quality management and process validation. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.

Actual compensation will be based on factors such as geographic location, education, years of relevant experience, and specific expertise in the electronics manufacturing industry.
