Position Description Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking a Quality Engineer who will assist the Trenton plant with identifying, prioritizing, planning, implementing, and following-up on process improvements plant-wide. This person will provide direction, leadership and training where needed in the Modine Management System and assure that the quality system is working through IATF 16949, and other customer requirements. Key Responsibilities Design, execute, and evaluate quality systems, procedures, and statistical techniques needed to measure quality performance. This includes knowledge of specific inspection and testing equipment. Coordinate and assist in the formulation and introduction of new or changed processes and products including process FEMA's, Advanced Quality Planning, dimensional and process control plans for production. Coordinate and complete the customer requirements and testing through the PPAP process. Will oversee the internal audit system and identity and monitor corrective actions resulting from both internal and external audits. Conduct internal audits against established management systems Support Modine customer base by providing first call support and acting as the Voice of the Customer in the facility. Assist in the identification, implementation, and use of statistical methods throughout the plant, and provide support to production where needed to solve quality issues. Keep Quality Manager abreast of any internal or customer related issues as they arise and assist in all areas as required. Lead the 8D system for any customer issues, designating assignments and tracking due dates as required. Lead inspection and containment efforts on site and at customer facilities for any nonconformances with product. Travel to customer facilities as needed, serving as the Quality rep for Modine and resolving product issues. Required Education & Qualifications Preferred Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline with 2+ years of Quality experience. Prefer a minimum of two years manufacturing experience. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, mini-tab, and other SPC software. Experience with CMM operations and PC DMIS software a plus. Proficient in the use of theAIAG Tools:
Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Control Plans Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) Statistical Process Control (SPC) Measurement System Analysis (MSA) In-depth understanding of all applicable product lines, processes, and applications is required. Good time management and organizational skills. Willingness to attend and pass training associated with Quality needs. Auditor certifications, or ability to pass and obtain certification for:ISO 9001, IATF
