Job Description

Job Title:
Reliability Engineer This position offers a balanced 50% travel / 50% remote work model , providing flexibility while maintaining strong on‑site engagement with plant teams. Join our team as a Reliability Engineer and play a key role in strengthening asset reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement across multiple manufacturing facilities. This role supports Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) initiatives and operational excellence within a heavy industrial aluminum cast house environment , working hands‑on with complex, large‑scale equipment. Lead and support reliability and maintenance initiatives to improve equipment performance, safety, and uptime. Install, inspect, adjust, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment including furnaces, extruders, robotics, saws, palletizers, yard equipment, haulers, skid loaders, and forklifts . Respond to equipment failures and reliability concerns to support production needs while meeting safety standards. Facilitate root cause analysis (RCA) , structured problem‑solving sessions, and continuous improvement workshops. Partner closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and planning teams to drive sustainable reliability processes. Collaborate with external consulting partners to replicate and scale best‑in‑class reliability practices. Conduct plant walk‑throughs, validate technical understanding, and engage directly with on‑site personnel. Maintain strong communication and continuity across both on‑site and remote work environments.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 10+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing environments. Strong background in reliability engineering, maintenance, or continuous improvement . Hands‑on experience with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) (inverted RCM experience is a plus). Proven expertise in root cause analysis, structured problem solving, and CI leadership . Excellent communication, facilitation, and cross‑functional collaboration skills. Work Environment & Travel 50% travel / 50% remote role. Travel between manufacturing sites in Bluffton, IN; Lordstown, OH; Wisconsin Rapids, WI; and Kentucky . Ideal for engineers who enjoy variety, visibility, and making a tangible impact across multiple plants. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Bluffton, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $143520.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
