In this position, you will provide support to the production floor of the Hardware Integration Center (HWIC) in a prominent and highly visible test engineering capacity. This role is ideal for someone seeking a challenging opportunity to enhance their technical skill set with a focus on testing highly sophisticated radar and communication systems. You will leverage your expertise to develop, test, modify, and implement solutions through collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams, while providing technical guidance for the testing and troubleshooting of complex radar and communication shelter systems. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology that plays a critical role in advancing the mission of RTX. What You Will Do Support a fluid production environment in a test engineering role. Troubleshoot complex radar and communication shelter level issues on the production floor. Work from schematics and drawings to understand RF faults and troubleshoot utilizing common test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, Power Meter's and Spectrum Analyzer's. Perform root cause analysis on systemic radar issues and flow back to feeder areas and/or suppliers to help in the troubleshooting of failed subassemblies. Work diligently with union technicians on a daily basis throughout the test process. Interact daily with operations, quality, process/mechanical, and production control (PC) regarding most urgent immediate needs in test. Review system level test data for compliance toward specifications. Interact with maintenance/test department to keep test stations fully functional. Develop/update factory test procedures as needed. Overtime (paid) may be required on an as needed basis. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience. (6) years of integration, test, or troubleshooting experience The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer Prior experience testing complex radar systems is highly desirable Demonstrated ability to interpret failing test data and navigate schematic diagrams to diagnose fault modes. Ability to understand radar systems technology in the areas of test and analysis. Strong working knowledge of RF test equipment. Experience preparing and executing factory test procedures. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
