Job Description

About the Role As a Quality Launch Engineer, you will serve as the primary architect for new product quality strategies, ensuring seamless transitions from development to full-scale production. You will act as the central authority for Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) deliverables, driving cross-functional teams to meet rigorous customer and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end execution of APQP frameworks to guarantee product launch success and risk mitigation. Manage the entire PPAP lifecycle, including strategy development, documentation, and securing final customer approvals. Serve as the dedicated quality liaison, facilitating communication between internal engineering teams and external customers during program development. Direct the creation and maintenance of critical quality documentation, including DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and process flow diagrams. Analyze statistical data, including MSA and Cp/Cpk studies, to validate process capability and product performance. Coordinate cross-functional pilot builds and manufacturing trials to ensure all quality gates are met prior to production ramp-up. Drive continuous improvement by analyzing launch metrics such as scrap rates and rework, implementing corrective actions to optimize future performance. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience in APQP and PPAP management within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Strong proficiency in risk assessment tools, specifically PFMEA and Root Cause Analysis (5 Why). Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex project timelines. Deep understanding of
IATF 16949
standards and customer-specific quality requirements. Excellent data analysis skills with experience in statistical process control. Preferred Skills Experience with Kaizen methodologies and lean manufacturing principles. Familiarity with ISO 14001 or
ISO 50001
environmental and energy standards. Technical background in automotive or high-precision manufacturing sectors.
