REMA USA LLC
(REMA®) privately held, global company with operations in Germany, China and the USA, is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Quality Engineer for the operation in Fountain Inn, SC. The primary business of REMA is manufacturing, assembly and distribution of specialty electrical components.
Job Description:
Provide quality engineering and project management support for REMA's manufacturing operation. Position will require candidate to perform in all aspects of the quality engineering discipline including, APQP development, control plans, supplier audits, SPC, incoming and outgoing inspections, and project management. Candidate will interact with clients and is expected to perform in a professional manner and present a professional image at all times. Candidate must be a highly motivated self-starter who has a passion for quality engineering, and the automotive industry. Position will offer unique and complex challenges that require persistence, original thinking and a positive attitude. Candidate shall assist in developing in-house quality processes and will assist in the creation and improvement of company-wide process documentation.
Qualifications:
Engineering degree required. Automotive OEM or Industrial experience a plus. Must be experienced in MS Office applications and have strong Excel skills. Positive attitude required from self-starter who desires to be the best and learn something new each day.
Responsibilities:
  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Develops and implements corrective actions.
  • Develops detailed planning for data collection and analysis.
  • Compiles performance reports and process control statistics in order to determine and improve process capability or product quality.
  • Performs sampling inspection plans, and statistical management of variation plan for key characteristics.
  • Uses statistical methodologies to ensure that specified levels of safety, reliability, and process capability are achieved, maintained, and/or improved.
  • Participates in process improvement decision making in a team based environment.
  • Performs process quality audits. Applies statistics following Company and customer guidelines regarding Statistical Process Control (SPC), statistical variation Management analysis, and reporting.
  • Performs data analysis for product acceptance, process improvements and key characteristics management.
  • Applies design of experiments approach for process improvement.
Participates in field investigations and prepares reports for problems or issues Works with team mates to assure work meets business needs, applicable codes and standards of quality
