Description:
The qualified intern/Co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions: Performs process and quality improvements through data analysis, problem solving, product audit, standards, and optimization with process controls within Logistics. Provides technical problem solving to Physical Logistics teams. Performs root cause analysis of complex quality problems utilizing tools such as 8D, Six Sigma, Projects, or SPC). Participates in driving continuous quality improvement activities for Plant manufacturing issues. Coordinates cross-functional quality improvement/issue resolution teams to address repetitive issues and quality improvement with a focus on preventative measures. Implements and validates effectiveness of process controls and inspections. Supports key process characteristics while developing and steering implementation of control mechanisms. Steers quality topics in daily Work Organization. Ensures relevant BMW standards & specifications are met to achieve quality product results. Leads investigations from product audits regarding defect landscape & indicator results. Reports status updates of open topics in Technology department meetings. Collaborates and supports quality planning for series production.Qualifications:
Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering. Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major). Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States. Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application. Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week). Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.THE WORK TERM DATES ARE
