Quality Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Quality Engineer to support and improve manufacturing operations for a client located in Spartanburg, SC. The ideal candidate will play a key role in establishing quality standards, leading process improvement initiatives, and supporting production through data-driven decision-making and structured problem solving. Working cross-functionally with engineering, production, and operations teams, this individual will help ensure that all products meet customer, regulatory, and internal performance expectations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement on the shop floor. This is a direct hire opportunity! Essential Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned and changed as needed) Responsible for the generation of a strategic plan to improve the business processes and increase production output. Duties include creating the company's quality standards and testing systems to reflect efficiency, reliability, and performance. Develop part specific FMEAs quickly allowing for consideration during tooling design. Develop Control Plans that define all process and product controls using those to define Product/Part Inspection Plans. Participate in cross-functional pre-production trials. Trains all associates responsible on execution of process controls. Establishes boundary samples and content for quality monitors communicating risk to production associates. Lead process improvements activities using engineering skills for assigned parts. Maintain close contact with production counterparts to assure product quality requirements are met. Lead customer complaint corrective actions utilizing A3 or similar structured problem-solving tools. Lead and support problem solving and project cross-functional teams as assigned or appropriate.
