Quality Engineer

Openwork is currently assisting a local client in their search for a Senior Quality Engineer in Spartanburg. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring product and process conformity, reducing variation, preventing defects, and driving continuous improvement across production, suppliers, and customer interfaces. Responsibilities for this

Senior Quality Engineer:

• Lead closed-loop problem solving (8D/A3), including containment, root cause, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification.
• Implement and improve shop-floor quality systems to meet shipping requirements.
• Plan and execute process/product audits and verify effectiveness of corrective actions.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of IATF 16949 and

ISO 14001

; internal auditor certification preferred.

• Proficiency with 8D/A3, PFMEA, control plans, MSA, SPC, and corrective action systems.

Pay:
