Job Description

Job Overview IWI US Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team. The Quality Engineer will oversee the activity of the quality assurance department and employees, developing, implementing, and maintaining a system of quality and reliability testing for the organizations products and/or development processes.
Essential Responsibilities:
Knowledge and understanding of production processes in the field of mechanical production and assembly. Conducting internal quality audits. Performing quality audits and Supplier Certification (FAI). Knowledge and experience of Measurement Methods and Measurement Tools Certification and training of employees/auditors. Handling quality issues with suppliers. Handling quality problems with customers. Conducting fault investigations and locating the root of the problem, defining corrective and preventive activities (CAPA). Managing a team of 5 to 8 employees.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Degree in mechanical engineering Degree in quality assurance (CQE, CQM, Lead Auditor) an advantage. Prior supervisor and manufacturing and
ISO 9001
experience required. Experience in the firearms industry is preferred. Extensive knowledge in reading technical drawings. Knowledge of manufacturing process - machining, metal, metal castings process. Ability to perform geometric inspection for metal parts using standard measuring tools. Understanding computerized (CMM /GOM/OGP) inspection process. Coordinating the issue of supplier evaluation and subcontracting.
