Responsible for proper handling, storage, packing, preservation and delivery of both material and product paperwork instructions plans utilizingTS16949 & ISO14001
documented systems and authority to initiate appropriate action necessary to prevent non-conformance to customer specificationsResponsibilities:
Develop thorough familiarization with Quality and Environmental Management Systems and manufacturing processes Problem-solve using advanced statistical techniques (probability, capability, etc.) Interface directly with customer Quality, Engineering, and Purchasing representatives Work closely with internal Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing team members Audit systems for compliance and Continuous Improvement opportunities Seek process improvement and cost reduction opportunities Participate in APQP (Advance Product Quality Planning) activities Participate in PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) activities Review control plans and documentation with production, updating where applicable Assist with and provide training on Quality Systems, including SPC (Statistical Process Control) Field associate questions on SPC and customer quality concerns Housekeeping and other activities as assignedSkills:
Strong communication skills to present quality data and corrective actions Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T Advanced problem-solving skills (8D, Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys) Experience with APQP tools (PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP) Knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive quality standards Ability to analyze quality data and drive continuous improvement Experience leading cross-functional quality investigations Strong attention to detail and process compliance Ability to manage multiple priorities in a manufacturing environment Availability to work additional hours as neededEducation:
High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field preferred Technical coursework or training in quality systems, manufacturing processes, statistical analysis, or industrial engineering concepts preferred Equivalent combination of education, certifications, and relevant quality or manufacturing experience may be considered in lieu of a four-year degree Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and statistical methods used to monitor and control manufacturing processes Experience developing and maintaining Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) documentation and supporting risk mitigation activities Ability to interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles in manufacturing and inspection processes Knowledge of structured problem-solving methodologies including Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, Fishbone, and 8D Understanding of APQP processes including Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and PPAP documentation Familiarity with automotive quality management systems including IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements Experience with quality inspection methods, measurement systems, and manufacturing process validationQualifications:
4+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment required Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred Experience supporting production quality, process audits, and corrective action implementation Ability to analyze quality data, identify trends, and drive corrective and preventive actions within production operations Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, maintenance, and leadership to resolve quality issues Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple quality initiatives and meet project deadlines Experience supporting internal audits, customer audits, and quality system compliance initiativesBenefits:
