Job Description
About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Plant Reliability Engineer to optimize our mechanical infrastructure and drive long-term equipment performance. You will serve as a technical authority, bridging the gap between daily maintenance operations and strategic asset management to ensure maximum uptime and safety. Responsibilities Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and kaizen initiatives to eliminate recurring equipment defects. Optimize preventive maintenance schedules to balance cost-efficiency with mechanical integrity requirements. Provide expert technical guidance for troubleshooting complex mechanical failures and equipment upgrades. Manage the full lifecycle of Management of Change (MOC) documentation to ensure operational safety and compliance. Develop and audit detailed work scopes, equipment specifications, and project schedules for capital improvements. Evaluate vendor designs and proposals to ensure alignment with site reliability goals and budgetary constraints. Analyze inspection data to determine fitness-for-service and establish appropriate maintenance intervals. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering. Minimum of 1 year of professional engineering experience in an industrial environment. Working knowledge of ASME codes, API standards, and machine shop fabrication techniques. Proficiency in standard office software and technical documentation. Preferred Skills Experience with SAP or similar Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) and high-hazard industrial processes. Relevant certifications such as API 510, 570, 653, or NDE Level II. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive hands-on change.
