Job Description

Description:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations. This role supports production, new product launches, and continuous improvement initiatives by driving corrective actions, maintaining quality systems, and promoting a culture of quality across the organization.
Requirements:
Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO, customer-specific requirements, and internal quality standards.
  • Support and maintain quality documentation including procedures, work instructions, and records.
  • Participate in internal and external audits and support corrective actions.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action using structured problem-solving methods (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone).
  • Support PFMEA, DFMEA, Control Plans, and APQP activities.
  • Monitor process capability (CP, CPK) and implement improvements.
  • Review and disposition nonconforming material (MRB).
  • Support PPAP submissions and customer approvals.
  • Participate in customer meetings and respond to customer complaints and quality concerns.
  • Review customer drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, Tooling, and Maintenance to resolve quality issues.
  • Support inspection activities, gage validation Analyze quality data and trends to drive preventive and corrective actions.
  • Support Lean, OPEX, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive cost-of-poor-quality (COPQ) reduction efforts.
  • Assist in developing inspection plans and quality controls.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC. Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality reporting tools.
