Job Description
The Quality Engineer ensures total product quality through the design, implementation, and maintenance of quality programs and controls. This role focuses on continuous improvement, cost reduction, and compliance with customer, regulatory, and ISO requirements while supporting manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure products fully comply with defined quality requirements. Manage all non-conformances, including creation and coordination of corrective action plans. Maintain plant activities in compliance withISO 9000
certification requirements. Perform quality audits and inspections in accordance with established safety measures. Process Control & Continuous Improvement Coordinate cross-functional meetings to address quality defects found in production and testing processes. Adjust quality processes to meet customer requirements. Propose and implement continuous improvement projects focused on: Quality improvement Increased production capacity Reduction of accidents and safety risks Cost reduction Reduction of setup times Documentation & Metrics Work with Production, Industrial Engineering, and Document Control to ensure work instructions and quality records remain accurate and current. Maintain, analyze, and share key quality performance metrics. Training & Coaching Identify training needs related to quality standards and ensure personnel receive required training. Provide constructive and positive feedback to employees, group leaders, and supervisors regarding deviations from quality standards. Escalation & Risk Management Escalate abnormalities that may jeopardize operational or quality objectives to management. Notify production leadership when manufacturing equipment, tools, or processes negatively impact product quality and coordinate corrective actions. Address deficiencies in quality inspection processes that may affect production goals. Corrective Action & Customer Quality Lead or support root cause analysis and corrective actions for customer complaints and internal quality issues. Provide follow-up and feedback on implemented corrective actions to ensure effectiveness. Ethics, Conduct & Reporting Report acts of violence, verbal abuse, or sexual harassment. Report suspected criminal activity or conflicts of interest involving company resources. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Quality Manager or Supervisor. Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field required; equivalent experience may be considered. Master's degree in Industrial Engineering preferred.Minimum experience:
1 year Ideal experience level: 5 years Skills Knowledge ofISO 9000
standards. Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Training & Certifications Safety Awareness Cultural Diversity Awareness Use of Social Networks Code of Conduct Integrated Management Systems Work Environment Manufacturing and production environment. Exposure to production processes, inspection areas, and quality audits.
