Job Description:
Job Summary Were looking for a Quality Engineer to ensure our manufacturing processes and inspection methods consistently meet and exceed customer quality expectations. Youll play a crucial role in technical support, planning review, and developing inspection documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and revise First Article Inspection (FAI) Plans and Quality Inspection Instructions (QIIs) for complex composite, metal, and rotor system components. Serve as a Planning Review Board member for Quality, ensuring configuration management compliance. Interface with end-users, customers, and subcontractors. Support new aircraft development, legacy products, and advanced Quality technology implementation. Provide technical support to quality and engineering personnel.
Education & Experience:
4-year degree (BS/BA) in Business Administration, Industrial Technology/Management, or Engineering. 5+ years of quality experience (preferably Aerospace) or 5+ years in aviation manufacturing planning. Extensive GD&T experience applied to machined and composite parts. Thorough understanding of AS9100/AS9102 and FAI planning. Ability to create Quality Inspection Instructions, identifying appropriate inspection placement. Proficiency in extracting and interpreting complex models from Catia
V6 & 3DX
for Advanced Quality Planning. Ability to navigate MES systems (CAMS, SAP
ECC, SAP PEO
).
