Role Overview As an IQC Engineer, you will ensure that all components used to build high-performance AI servers and clusters meet strict quality, performance, and reliability standards. You will inspect, test, and troubleshoot raw materials, PCBs, GPUs, and power supplies before they reach the manufacturing floor, helping to drive zero-defect manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities Component Inspection:
Perform physical, functional, and electrical inspections on incoming server components (e.g., GPUs, CPUs, memory, high-density PCBs, and chassis).
Defect Analysis:
Identify, log, and isolate defective parts using standard testing protocols and root-cause analysis methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
Test Automation:
Assist in building, maintaining, and automating test scripts and fixtures to evaluate hardware performance metrics.
Supplier Quality:
Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing teams to document component failures, issue Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCAR), and track vendor quality metrics.
Data Tracking:
Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and Quality Management Systems (QMS) to track incoming quality trends and report metrics.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
0 to 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Hardware/Server Testing, or Manufacturing Operations (internships and co-ops apply). [1]
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with server architecture, GPU/CPU hardware, and electronic component testing. Basic scripting or programming skills (Python) are a major plus. Familiarity with QMS platforms, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical problem-solving, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
