You will drive operational excellence by optimizing equipment performance, ensuring safety compliance, and spearheading reliability initiatives that directly impact our production capabilities. Responsibilities Act as the primary technical resource for troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading critical plant machinery and infrastructure. Lead Process Safety Management (PSM) criticality assessments to establish robust maintenance strategies and inspection protocols. Analyze equipment performance data and historical uptime trends to implement improvements that reduce total life cycle costs. Execute Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to develop predictive and preventative maintenance plans that maximize asset availability. Provide engineering oversight for capital projects, managing scope development, cost justification, and installation coordination. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate equipment failures and share best practices to prevent recurrence. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related technical field from an ABET-accredited institution. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with fixed industrial equipment, such as pressure vessels, piping, and valves. Proven ability to utilize data-driven insights to diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective solutions. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders across the organization. Demonstrated initiative in managing multiple priorities within fast-paced, high-hazard industrial environments. Preferred Skills Advanced knowledge of industry standards including ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, B31 Piping Codes, and API standards. Experience conducting Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and utilizing statistical failure investigation techniques. Proficiency with enterprise asset management software such as SAP for maintenance planning and data tracking. Background in materials science, including material selection, welding, and non-destructive testing methodologies. Prior experience working within high-hazard process environments or regulated manufacturing facilities.
