Job Description

OVERVIEW
The Reliability Engineer leads the organization's reliability engineering function, overseeing warranty return analysis, failure investigation, and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. Establishes processes and drives data-informed decisions that enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction. Serves as a key link between engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams, ensuring that field performance insights translate into measurable product and process improvements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Major Responsibilities Owns the end-to-end warranty return (RMA) process, including prioritization, tracking, analysis, and resolution Establishes and refine reliability engineering processes, tools, and reporting standards to improve efficiency and consistency Partners with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to improve product design, durability, and process flow Translates customer incident reports and field data into actionable insights for product development and business strategy Presents reliability trends, key metrics, and findings to senior leadership, sales, and quality teams Oversee data collection, validation, and reporting to ensure accuracy and integrity of engineering analyses Any other duties of a similar or lesser nature as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Bachelor's degree in engineering required and preferably 4+ years of relevant experience in reliability, manufacturing, or field experience. Experience Experience with oilfield drilling tools and related equipment Exposure to drilling logs, run reports, and field performance data Experience working in manufacturing or shop floor environments, including physical inspection of large equipment Familiarity with supply chain processes and cross-departmental workflow management Skills Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications Experience in analyzing measurement data and identifying deviations and trends Proficiency with metrology tools and inspection techniques Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools Strong communication skills with the ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment Commitment to safety, quality, and operation excellence
