• Full-time Quality Engineer We are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to support and improve quality processes in our sheet metal fabrication and machine shop.

This role is ideal for someone who prefers working on the shop floor, partnering closely with manufacturing and engineering, and driving measurable improvements in quality, scrap reduction, and customer satisfaction. The Quality Engineer will play a key role in maintaining the Quality Management System, supporting production, resolving quality issues, and ensuring customer requirements are consistently met. What You'll Do Support and maintain the Quality Management System (ISO 9001 and/or AS9100) Review engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T to define inspection and quality requirements Develop and improve inspection plans, control plans, and work instructions Support First Article Inspections (FAI), including AS9102 when required Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for internal and customer nonconformances Partner with manufacturing to improve process capability and reduce scrap and rework Analyze quality data and report trends to support continuous improvement initiatives Support internal, customer, and third-party audits Assist with supplier quality issues, including incoming inspection and corrective actions Communicate with customers on quality concerns, documentation, and corrective action responses What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 2-5 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with sheet metal fabrication and/or machining strongly preferred Strong knowledge of: Engineering drawings and GD&T Shop-floor inspection methods Measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gages; CMM experience a plus) Root cause analysis and corrective action methods (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.) Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 standards Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Preferred Qualifications Experience in a job shop or high-mix environment ASQ certification (CQE, CQT) or similar Experience with FAI, PPAP, and customer-specific quality requirements ERP or manufacturing system experience Experience with
