seeks a Sr. Quality Engineer in Seguin, TX to serve as a quality technical specialist for the Nox product and the quality process. Support Engineering team on process validation projects. Manage quality metrics, including scrap, FPY and Jidoka stops and provide support to improve metrics. Serve as primary contact to respond to customer complaints. Coordinate sorting material for quality issue review. Maintain and update quality documents such as Control Plan/PFMEA/Flow Diagrams. Collaborate with New Product Launch on product changes, product validations, and safe launch activities. Participate in internal and external audits and execute problem solving activities. Provide feedback to production line regarding quality and customer issues. Collaborate with internal departments on continuous improvement projects. Qualified applicants must have a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or foreign equivalent. Qualified applicants must have two (2) years of experience as a Quality Engineer, Quality Supervisor, or substantially similar position within the automotive industry.
Experience must include:
1) Utilizing quality control methodologies, digital quality systems and lean methodology; 2) Maintaining documentation including, D-FMEA, P-FMEA, Control Plans, Flowcharts, Specifications and Drawings; 3) Performing internal audits and complying with
IATF16949
quality management standards; and 4) Participating in root cause analysis and leading problem-solving and continuous improvement initiations using structured methodology such as 8D, 5Why or Ishikawa.
