The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is part of a new development, planned to incorporate 17 ski lifts, ±1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with a total of ±1,350 rooms, ±250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the largest "ski beaches" in the world. A Shift Engineer (Overnight) will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in guest room, meeting space, and front of the house areas, as well as back of the house areas including kitchen, laundry, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems. A Shift Engineer will also perform preventive maintenance on major equipment and systems, using a windows based computer system. Ability to read blue prints and schematics is preferred, along with basic trouble-shooting skills. A minimum of three years building maintenance experience is required with hotel experience preferred. Good communication skills are necessary. Why Work at Hyatt? Qualifications Previous General hotel Maintenance experience preferred. 2-3 years of maintenance experience required. Strong troubleshooting skills (electricity, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, etc.) required. Good communications skills are required. Ability to work a flexible schedule, Must be able to work overnight shifts Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, and stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate amount of weight. ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong organizational and delegation skills.
