Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
Define standard processes and tools to handle defects and ensure proper execution to improve equipment reliability and performance Lead Breakdown Elimination efforts through structured problem-solving Partner with operators to ensure defects are resolved and breakdowns are prevented Determine and prioritize planned maintenance needs, scheduling accordingly Share best practices across Reliability Leads to foster continuous improvement Maintain strong communication with the maintenance department to align priorities Continuously improve maintenance processes including Defect Handling and Breakdown Elimination Reduce negative impacts on machine reliability through proactive strategies Why is This a Great Opportunity We have an exciting new opportunity for a Reliability Engineer in the North Richmond, Virginia area! Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology, or other related degree or related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree Minimum 3 years' experience in maintenance, reliability, or engineering in a fast-paced manufacturing setting Proven background in electrical systems reliability, including motors, drives, PLCs, instrumentation, and power distribution. Experience in the paper industry highly desirable, especially with pulping equipment and processes Passion for leading and collaborating with teams to achieve goals Expertise in maintenance processes within a manufacturing environment Experience in mechanical or design engineering—paper mill experience is ideal Strong critical thinking and analytical skills for fast-paced problem solving Ability to navigate complex situations with creativity and structure Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities Familiarity with Lean Production System principleSimilar remote jobs
