About the Opportunity As the Quality Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring aerospace products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and compliance throughout the entire product lifecycle. This position sits at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, and customer engagement, giving you the opportunity to make a visible impact across the organization. You'll lead investigations, drive corrective actions, collaborate cross-functionally, and serve as a key customer-facing quality partner in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment. What You'll Be Doing Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems and processes aligned with aerospace standards such as AS9100 Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) using methodologies including 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone analysis Partner closely with engineering and manufacturing teams on quality planning initiatives including PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams Analyze quality metrics such as yield, scrap, rework, and defect trends to drive continuous improvement efforts Serve as the primary quality contact for customers, managing concerns, investigations, corrective actions, and communication Lead customer-facing problem resolution activities including 8D reporting and failure analysis Support customer audits and external quality reviews Monitor and report customer quality metrics including PPM, escapes, returns, and warranty claims Drive initiatives focused on reducing defects, improving product reliability, and enhancing customer satisfaction Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure quality excellence across the organization What They're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Industrial, or related discipline) 3-7+ years of Quality Engineering experience within aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment Strong working knowledge of AS9100, ISO
9001, and aerospace quality systems Hands-on experience with quality tools and methodologies including 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, and Root Cause Analysis Familiarity with aerospace documentation and regulatory requirements Experience interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection methods Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, or composites Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data for decision-making Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting directly with customers and cross-functional teams Key Traits for Success Customer-first mindset Strong sense of ownership and accountability Collaborative and team-oriented approach Continuous improvement mentality Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment Compensation Base salary range: $100,000 - $135,000 depending on experience and qualifications This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing aerospace organization where quality is mission-critical and your contributions will have a direct impact on both customers and product performance.
