Job Description

Quality Engineer Henderson, WV 25106 $69,966.30 - $84,260.48 a year - Full-time $69,966.30 - $84,260.48 a year - Full-time A unique injection molder with the ability to mold both thermoset and thermoplastic compounds is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer. This company works with clients to design and engineer products for customers in the automotive, medical, electrical, hand tool, and communications industries. Utilizing a modern automated assembly process, they provide customers with a superior product at a competitive price.
Qualifications:
Minimum A.S. in Quality Management, Engineering, or technical field preferred; High School Diploma or GED required 4-5 years of experience in quality within a manufacturing setting 4-5 years of experience in a leadership role Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Proficiency with both manual and computerized measuring equipment/systems
Key Responsibilities:
Function as internal lead auditor for the Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 9001 and other certifications by: Maintaining lead auditor certification Planning, scheduling audits and training the internal audit team Following up with functional departments to ensure all findings are communicated, understood, and addressed in a timely and complete manner Scheduling, coordinating and leading external 3rd party audits to maintain certifications Provide quality leadership for all quality items in the Product Lifecycle Management and stage-gating process, and quality support and training for other departments and suppliers.
Key activities include:
Developing DFMEA, DVP&R, process flow diagrams, and PFMEA to identify and plan mitigation of risks Identification of critical-to-quality characteristics within products and product families Control Plans, test plans, gaging requirements, gage design/build Developing and completing documentation including quality plans, quality standards, gaging, measurement and test instructions, and reporting methods Supervise other quality department employees as assigned Lead or assist in problem solving investigations, DOEs, gage and capability studies In conjunction with the process engineer, investigate and recommend new measuring, testing, inspection, error proofing and best practices to improve quality, product yield and productivity Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on process performance as required Perform other duties as assigned

$69,966.30 - $84,260.48 per year
