  • FPGA Developer and Verification We are hiring for a FPGA developer and verification Electrical engineer in New York.
The FPGA developer and verification engineer , works within a cross functional team to design, verify, and test modem and signal processing based FPGA firmware for radio communication systems. This position involves analyzing system requirements, creating FPGA specifications and development plans, developing verification and test strategies, implementing firmware designs, and ensuring all designs fully meet system and customer requirements.

    Employees work 9 out of every 14 days
  • totaling 80 hours worked
  • and have every other Friday off . Week 1: Monday
  • Thurs (9 hours/day) Fri (8 hours) Week 2: Mon
  • Thurs (9 hours) Friday off What we offer: In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York State is $90,500
  • $140,000 USD .
Final compensation will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities Analyze system requirements and architect FPGA based digital processing solutions using the latest FPGA technologies Design, implement, and verify complex modem and DSP algorithms in FPGA firmware and software Develop FPGA specifications, design documentation, and development plans Implement FPGA firmware using VHDL and create self checking verification test benches using SystemVerilog Develop high level and detailed verification and test plans aligned with system requirements Perform detailed analyses including requirements definition, use case development, conceptual design, trade studies, testing, operation, and sustainment Integrate and validate FPGA firmware on target hardware platforms Prepare and participate in design and implementation reviews Present technical briefings, design status, and results to internal and external customers Support the development of tactical radio communications products throughout the lifecycle Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance Qualifications Must have experience with RTL development using VHDL, as well as
FPGA/ ASIC
verification methodologies using System Verilog. Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
  • OR•Graduate Degree with a minimum of 9 years of related experience•OR•In lieu of a degree, 13 years of relevant FPGA development experience Experience developing and verifying FPGA or ASIC based embedded systems Experience integrating FPGA firmware with hardware Hands on experience with FPGA vendor tools such as Vivado, Quartus, or Libero Experience working in Linux based development environments Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, or similar DSP modelling tools Knowledge of communications system signal processing theory and waveform design Experience with TCL or Python scripting Familiarity with
MODEM RF
design implementation and testing Experience using Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) Active U.S. Government Security Clearance Experience with Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools such as Git, SVN, or Bitbucket #INDUS
