Job Title:
Software Verification Engineer Job Description As a Software Verification Engineer, you will design, implement, debug, and execute software tests on new and sustaining engineering projects. You will participate in test reviews to identify issues and provide recommendations, while creating software test process documentation including verification plans, designs, and protocols. Your role will involve performing unit, integration, and system testing, as well as capacity and performance testing of applications. Documenting defects for debugging and reviewing test plans and designs with development engineers will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will collect data to generate metrics assessing test progress and software quality. Responsibilities Design, implement, and execute software tests. Participate in test reviews and provide recommendations. Create documentation for software test processes, including verification plans and protocols. Perform unit, integration, and system testing, as well as capacity and performance testing. Document defects for debugging purposes. Review test plans and designs with development engineers. Collect data to generate metrics for assessing test progress and software quality. Essential Skills 2+ years of relevant experience in software development. Experience in developing and executing unit, integration, and functional software tests. Experience performing software requirement analysis. Proficiency in software validation, testing, and verification. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the development and verification of systems consisting of PLC/HMI. Understanding of usability and human factors. Developing and verifying language localization solutions. Experience using defect management and test management tools. Knowledge of software development standards such as IEEE series and IEC. Work Environment The position requires onsite work, collaborating within a team of 15 people. You will work between two different groups of five, engaging in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Mentor, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
