Job Summary:

Job Description:

Validate silicon intellectual properties (IP) with a focus on PCIe (Peripheral Interconnect Express) products. Collect experimental data to ensure that Synopsys' PCIe silicon products comply with PCI-SIG (PCI Special Interest Group) standards. Perform standard characterization tests of PCIE transmitter and receiver blocks and validate the performance of specific functional circuits embedded inside a silicon test chip. Use laboratory test equipment including high-bandwidth oscilloscopes, Bit-error-rate testers (BERTs), and network analyzers to validate the performance of PCIe IP. Develop automated test procedures and report generation tools using MATLAB and Python. Collaborate with design teams to provide effective debug support, enabling customers to resolve issues and achieve seamless system integration and functionality. Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of information requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Devise solutions based on limited information and precedent and adapt existing approaches to resolve issues. 40 hours per week.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field and 2 years of experience validating PCIe (Peripheral Interconnect Express) products. (

A Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.) Also requires background in: 1.) Python or MATLAB programming; 2.) Hands-on experience with oscilloscope(s), Jitter-Tolerant Bit Error Rate Tester & Vector Network Analyzers; 3.)Circuit design, debugging, and validation; 4.) Building scripts to automate test procedures and report generation; 5.) Parameter tuning and firmware validation; and 6.) Optimizing workflows using AI and ML tools.

Pay Range and Benefits Information:

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $121,680 to $137,000 per year. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
