Job Title:
Systems Engineer We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will drive systems engineering activities throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring compliance with aviation standards while contributing to a highly integrated audio and Bluetooth-enabled avionics product. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute systems engineering processes in accordance with ARP‑4754A, including DAL evaluation, requirements development, validation, verification, and system-level integration.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, mechanical, and certification teams to ensure cohesive system design and compliance.
- Support system safety analyses, certification artifacts, and regulatory documentation.
- Lead system integration activities, including bench testing, environmental testing, and flight evaluations.
- Identify and resolve design issues across interdisciplinary domains (audio, Bluetooth, embedded software, electronics).
- Contribute to risk management, configuration management, and change control processes pursuant to applicable standards.
- Coordinate with external partners, suppliers, and certification authorities as required.
- Lead the creation of certification plans as determined by
ARP/RTCA
guidance Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 8 years of systems engineering experience in aerospace, avionics, or similarly regulated industries.
- Demonstrated experience applying ARP‑4754A in a real development program.
- Strong understanding of requirements management, architecture development, and system verification.
- Excellent documentation skills and familiarity with structured engineering processes. Strongly Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with avionic audio systems or audio signal processing.
- Hands-on experience developing or integrating Bluetooth-enabled systems, especially in constrained or regulated environments.
- Experience working with TSO products or certification programs.
Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Burnsville, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $73.00/hr.
