Job Description We are seeking a Verification Engineer II, Power Validation to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in power subsystem validation for consumer wearable devices, automation frameworks, and test infrastructure and a proven ability to bring up, measure, and validate power performance from proof-of-concept through mass production to meet power KPIs .
Responsibilities:
Validate and characterize power subsystems from early proof-of-concept to mass production. Bring up, debug, and validate power circuitry on prototype hardware. Develop and maintain automation frameworks for power measurement and testing. Execute test cases related to power validation and capture power data across use cases. Report issues in bug tracking systems and collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to resolve them. Support root cause analysis for power, SoC, memory, and related components. Maintain and improve validation test reports, plans, and test instructions. Collaborate with Power and Performance architecture and cross-functional teams from concept to OK2Ship.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 3+ years validating power subsystems for consumer devices. Working knowledge of bucks, boost converters, LDOs, load switches, fuel gauges, and SoC power domains. Basic understanding of Android OS, Linux kernel, and SoC power architecture. Familiarity with I2C, SPI, and UART communication protocols. Experience defining validation plans for power subsystems and executing test cases. Experience capturing and analyzing power consumption data under different use cases.
Proficiency with lab equipment:
multimeters, power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, and data acquisition units. 3+ years writing automation scripts in Python or LabVIEW.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with wearable device power KPIs and validation infrastructure. Hands-on debug across software, firmware, and hardware for power issues. Why BCforward?
