Mid-Senior Level (PE Preferred) About the Role We are seeking a Hydrology & Hydraulics (H&H) Design Engineer to support stormwater, drainage, and water resources projects in Southern California. Responsibilities include hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stormwater system design, culvert and channel improvements, and floodplain assessments. Key Responsibilities Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, HY‑8, SRH‑2D, and related tools. Design stormwater systems, detention basins, culverts, channels, and erosion control features. Prepare drainage reports, design calculations, modeling summaries, and construction plan sets. Support floodplain analysis, FEMA documentation, and permitting requirements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated design across project components. If licensed, perform PE review and stamping and mentor junior engineers. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering (Master's preferred). California PE license preferred Minimum three years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater design, or water resources work. Proficiency with modeling tools such as HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS, HY‑8, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and/or GIS. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with FEMA, Caltrans, or USACE design standards.
Compensation Salary:
