Water InfrastructureEmployment Type:
Full-time, salaried, exemptOverviewWe are seeking a Senior Engineer to lead and execute engineering design and analysis for water infrastructure projects, including treatment facilities, pumping systems, and conveyance networks. This role involves preparing technical documentation such as feasibility studies, design reports, hydraulic analyses, and construction plans, as well as cost estimates and specifications. Support during bidding and construction phases is also required, including reviewing bids, responding to contractor inquiries, evaluating submittals, and assessing change proposals.

The Senior Engineer will perform complex engineering tasks under general direction and may supervise a small team of engineers or technical staff. Responsibilities may also include managing one major project or multiple smaller assignments.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead or perform technical analyses for water infrastructure projects, applying sound engineering principles and industry standards.

Manage project scope, budgets, and schedules; conduct feasibility studies; and oversee staff assignments.

Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with approved scope and timelines.

Review proposed changes for impacts on design, budget, and schedule.

Prepare clear and concise technical reports and presentations.

Act as a primary point of contact for clients and project team members.

Maintain accurate and timely project documentation.

Provide technical expertise in specialized areas and deliver training or presentations as needed.

Demonstrate strong problem-solving and project management skills.

Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Supervise and mentor junior staff effectively.

Utilize relevant software tools, including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, GIS, and hydraulic modeling programs.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.6-10 years of relevant engineering experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
