Job Description

Role OverviewThis leadership position involves guiding interdisciplinary teams in the strategic planning, design, and oversight of water-related infrastructure initiatives. The focus is on medium to large-scale systems involving potable water, wastewater, and resource recovery. The role emphasizes client engagement, project delivery excellence, and long-term relationship building.

Key ResponsibilitiesDirect and coordinate integrated teams to deliver infrastructure solutions across water and wastewater systems.

Cultivate and maintain client relationships through consistent project success and proactive communication.

Lead strategic project pursuits, including proposal development and interview preparation.

Facilitate collaborative workshops and support decision-making processes through alternatives evaluation.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior staff.

Manage project scope, budget, and timelines across planning, design, and implementation phases.

Produce high-quality deliverables such as planning documents, technical reports, design drawings, and specifications.

Occasional travel may be required across the western U.S.Qualifications & AttributesDegree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline; advanced degree preferred.

Professional Engineering license (or ability to obtain via reciprocity within a defined timeframe).Proven track record in delivering infrastructure projects that balance innovation, sustainability, and operational efficiency.

Over a decade of experience in water infrastructure planning, design, or construction.

Strong ability to define project objectives and translate them into actionable plans.

Collaborative mindset with a commitment to team development and knowledge sharing.

Active involvement in industry organizations and awareness of emerging technologies and practices.

Comfortable taking initiative and ownership in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in technical documentation and client presentations.

Experience with sustainable design principles and alternative delivery methods is a plus.

Strong client service orientation, with a focus on responsiveness, clarity, and problem-solving.
