Qualifications RS&H is currently seeking a Water Resources Engineer II to join our Transportation Practice in our Orlando, FL office.
Essential Functions:
Provides professional engineering consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large complex projects, often requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures and independently applying advanced engineering concepts and designs. May serve as the team expert and/or project lead on large, complex multidiscipline projects. Develops and evaluates engineering reports, plans and specification criteria for a variety of projects, engineering design and facility development, design detailing, code and criteria analysis, construction document production, and construction administration. Coordinates with a diversified project team, including development of client communication, proposal coordination, marketing, presentations, and management of other discipline-related activities. Prepares specifications, scaled drawings and proposals. Ensures finished plans, specifications, and approval of materials and construction. May review and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments. Meets with clients to determine objectives and requirements for executing desired scope. Reviews junior staff's work for technical accuracy and provides technical guidance to other professionals and technicians. May also lead a discipline team or small multidisciplinary teams to complete projects. Performs quality control reviews and ensures achievement of key milestones. Performs as-needed field reviews and observations of ongoing construction projects to maintain and increase understanding of construction practices and design applications. Maintains professional registration and licensure by ensuring conformance with professional, ethical, educational, and discipline practice requirements. Remains knowledgeable of all applicable federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances that are pertinent to respective discipline. May supervise direct reports, including hiring, coaching, performance reviews, development conversations, and productivity management. Performs all other duties as assigned and within scope of practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university Minimum seven years of relevant experience PE required Advanced level of oral, presentation and written communication skills Experience working on parts of a major project or multiple moderate-sized projects Proven experience providing technical guidance to entry/junior level staff.
