Job Description

An established civil/environmental engineering and surveying firm based in St. Charles, Illinois. The firm was originally founded on its expertise in water and wastewater engineering and has since expanded its services to include traditional Civil/Site Engineering, Watershed Resources, and Utility Infrastructure Rehabilitation. The firm currently serves over 80 municipalities throughout northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.

The firm has an excellent reputation for working closely with clients to develop project-specific solutions that meet each community's individual needs. The client base and workload have continued to expand at an unprecedented rate. As part of the firm's strategic plan, there is a strong commitment to enhancing team expertise.

The firm is seeking experienced Water/Wastewater Engineers capable of making an immediate impact to meet the demanding needs of its growing client base.
TASKS AND
RESPONSIBILITIESThe Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for water and wastewater projects, including planning, design, and construction phase services. Candidates must have a strong background in master planning, utility infrastructure rehabilitation, public water supply, and/or wastewater treatment.

The candidate must demonstrate technical expertise across a wide range of water/wastewater infrastructure projects and experience serving municipal clients. Responsibilities also include client management, quality assurance/quality control, and providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members. As such, this individual must possess an outstanding work ethic, excellent communication skills, and an understanding of multiple leadership styles.

Public water supply, treatment, storage, and distribution systemsMunicipal wastewater collection systems and pump stationsWastewater treatment systems, including BNR processes and sludge handling facilitiesExpertise in construction observation and supervision/management of field personnelExpertise in environmental permitting, funding, and regulatory requirements
SALARYRange:
$110,000 - $140,000 per year, plus benefits
