Job Description

Our client is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join its growing team in New Hampshire, supporting a diverse portfolio of public and private sector projects across the region. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of impactful water resources initiatives, including stormwater management, watershed studies, floodplain analysis, and hydraulic and hydrologic modeling. The position is well suited to an engineer who enjoys balancing technical delivery with collaboration alongside multidisciplinary teams and clients.
Key responsibilities include:
Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for a range of infrastructure and environmental projects Develop stormwater management designs, drainage systems, and flood mitigation solutions Prepare technical reports, studies, and supporting documentation for permitting and regulatory approvals Utilize modeling tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and related software to support design and analysis Contribute to culvert and bridge hydraulics, watershed planning, and resilience-focused projects Coordinate with project managers, clients, and regulatory agencies to support successful project delivery Assist in maintaining project schedules, budgets, and quality standards across multiple assignments Requirements for the role include a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related discipline, along with 5 to 15 years of relevant experience in water resources engineering. A Professional Engineer license is required, with the ability to practice in New Hampshire. Strong experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, as well as familiarity with tools such as GIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D, is highly desirable. A solid understanding of New England permitting processes and regulatory frameworks is also preferred. In addition to technical capability, our client is looking for someone with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem solving.
