Job Description

Director of W/WW Engineering Overview A consulting engineering organization is seeking an experienced Director to support multidisciplinary infrastructure projects and contribute to operational leadership and business growth. This role requires a strong technical leader with a demonstrated track record in project delivery, client engagement, and team development. Role Summary The Director of W/WW will lead complex infrastructure projects across multiple sectors, including water, wastewater, stormwater, irrigation, and transportation systems. This position combines responsibilities in technical delivery, business development, and team leadership, while also supporting operational planning and resource management. Key Responsibilities Lead client relationship management, marketing efforts, and business development initiatives Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, and subconsultants to ensure quality delivery and financial performance Provide mentorship and guidance to engineering staff and junior project managers Support leadership with workload forecasting, resource allocation, and operational improvements Oversee proposal development, interviews, and contract negotiations Promote continuous improvement in project management practices, quality assurance, and technical standards Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil, Environmental, or related engineering discipline from an accredited institution Professional Engineering (P.E.) license (multi-state licensure preferred or ability to obtain) Typically 10-15+ years of experience managing infrastructure projects for public-sector or similar clients Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management Strong leadership experience in staffing, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to travel to project sites as needed Compensation Estimated annual salary range: $180,000 to $225,000 , based on experience and qualifications Overtime compensation may apply in accordance with applicable policies Eligible for performance-based bonus programs Benefits A comprehensive benefits package may include: Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance Paid time off and holidays Retirement savings plan with employer contributions and additional financial incentives Health savings and flexible spending account options Employee wellness and assistance programs Team engagement activities and community involvement opportunities Professional development support, career progression programs, and mentorship Job Alerts Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Superintendent•Structural Concrete
